Mong Ngoi, Laos was the best small village we visited. Beautiful people in an idyllic setting. Notice the women scraping the bottom of the river for weeds. The catch will be made into a snack reminiscent of seaweed stuff from Japan. And the children, they are playing on American Bombs that landed on their poor village during the Vietnam war.
