We left the sand dunes behind and drove back up the Dra Valley towards Ouarzazate. Along the way we continued to see flat stones set up, pointed towards the sky. We guessed that they are burial markers.

Tower In this part of Morocco there is a mixing of Sub-saharan and North African races. There are black and white people, over the generations they have intermarried so much that they share the same Berber culture.

Although it doesn't look that way, it was cold in this sunlight. Notice how tall the houses are. It's to keep them cool during the long summer months. In the winter people prefer to be outside in the sunshine.
